Title: '67 Autolite 4300 external air vent
Post by: socalgt on October 17, 2015, 06:31:12 PM
Attached are photos of two 1967, 4300 carbs, one with the external  air vent and one without.  Was the vent originally present on an original '67 4300 4v carb C7DF M for a 289 C4 no emissions?  Was it only on automatic cars?

Will have to check some of the booklets I've got on the 67 4300 but looking at my picture collection here is an example from a A code 67 - manual trans, closed emission but no Thermactor  (7R02A187xxx)

I found on line an article from '67 on the 4300 carb and it explains the adjustment and purpose.  It was published by Ford.  It appears it should be present on the 4300 carbs....at least on the 289 model.
