Working on a '66 Metuchen GT fastback, scheduled date 19A, buck tag 24A. Noticed that there are 2 sets of holes in the rear floor pan under the rear seat where the parking brake cable brackets would attach from underneath. On each side, one pair of holes had screws in them, the others didn't. Just trying to confirm this is normal and if there was any caulking or sealer over the holes not used.

Only one set of holes in mine built Oct 65. The edge in the second set of yours looks like it was drilled compared to the the set closer to the seam which has a jagged edge like mine.
The drivers side of mine had an extra punched hole that I filled with some black strip caulk or seam sealer...??

Closest date period I've got clear pictures of are March and later NJ examples - they all appear to have a single set of E brake bracket mounting holes on each side

Thanks for checking. Did you happen to look underneath? The other set of holes could be covered up by the seam sealer.

Yes I looked underneath and there was no other set like what you have in your picture. I'll jack the car up tomorrow and look closer and let you know if I find anything else.

Just had a closer look from under the car, the bolts that go through the retainer go through both pieces of metal at the seam. There are no others.

Checked my Oct '65 Metuchen fastback also Charles. One set of holes!

Thanks for the feedback so far. Would be interested in hearing from anyone with a car closer in production (late Jan '66)

Will try and look under my April build NJ FB later today.
