The sticker (originally paper - not the current plastic one) would have the hydrometer reading many years but not for this year and plant, the date ( day of month-month-year) and as well as a stamp indicating the inspector. The day would be the car was completed.
Also not sure if anyone makes the correct sticker. All the current ones I believe are printed in black and the lines are different for a 67 San Jose

Thanks Jeff, I didn't know there was a different ones for each DSO. Tomorrow I will put in a call to Ron B at Mustang Plus he may have a ideal where There may be one laying around. I find myself questioning every thing I thought I know about the 67 mustang. I am running out of time and I still have so many questions, Mustang OK. is just around the corner. Call me crazy but I have decided to show again in trailer concourse and move forword not backword. Please if anyone knows where I can get the 67 Son Jose sticker original or Rep let me know ASAP. Thanks

They are not different between DSO's but each plant had different inspectors and often (did in this case and many others) different suppliers as well as doing things.
Lots of specific little details -
Don't believe Ron will be of any help in this matter (if I was at the shop he would likely just ask me ;)

Horace,
Go with what you can get for the Battery OK decal. I have found black lined ones from the parts companies in the past. The key is to fill it out properly with the hand written and inspector stamp markings.

The date on a 67 would have been a stamped datep
Day of month - short version of month - then short version of year
Charlge reading (for San Jose that year) simply has a hand written (blank ink) "ok"
Ex - 16 MAY 67
Inspector stamp is done in black ink
In 67 the decal was printed in blue with the intersecting lines not meeting but as Pete mentioned you may have to setting for what is available

Did every car receive this inspection tag, or was it a random selection?

Did every car receive this inspection tag, or was it a random selection?
I'm sure some cars may have slipped through without one, but the intention/practice was that every car should have gotten one.

Woooo now that is lots of info, I will work on that one Friday. I did get the two battery bolts cut down to 8 5/16 " I cut a section out about 1" from the bottom and welded it back together and they turned out great. Thanks for posting the correct lenght on the web site .
