Title: Rear valance spot welds
Post by: mtinkham on December 04, 2015, 01:30:59 PM
Were the spot weld divots on the outside of the rear valance (for the attaching brackets) filled originally or are they visible in the finished paint?  The valance I am working on had filler on either side of the back up lights from a previous repair.

Also, does anyone have pictures of the rear valance attaching hardware - nut/bolt?

Thank you in advance.

Spot welds visible.  The one pictured below is more pronounced than some.  Some better, some worse.  As for hardware, nothing handy.  I'm sure others will chime in.

Yow-za! Yeah, most not quite as obvious as those!

Kinda like dimples on a baby's butt.  Looks cute to the parent...

No they were not filled and are often visible. Of course on many cars the "thoughtful" body person have filled them to make the car perfectly smooth and without blemish
