So for 67 390 Mustangs with the Tach option the MPC shows that the replacement (and possibly the original) was marked with a #6 on the base - had a 1/4" - 18 pipe thread fitting and was assigned the part number C7AZ-9278-A if the car was built before April 1st 1967 which I think covers your car
This same part fit other 67 cars including 6 cylinder as well as other V8' so not 390 only piece

The analog gauge style oil pressure sending unit can best be described as a large bell, compared to the much smaller idiot light version.
1967 can be identified from 1968 and later by the way the wire connects on top. 1967 has a small disc on top, and a flat wire connector slides over it.
1968 and later versions both had a threaded stud on top. The under hood wire connector was a boot style connector that fit over the threads.
You didn't ask, but the water sending units have the same kind of electrical connections for 1967, and changed 1968 and later too.
Look for a picture of the reproductions, they look virtually the same.

The ones in 65/66 that i am familiar with were used on small blocks but they interchanged with the later cars too. The gauge and sender didn't care if it was a BB or a SB. Your comment on the water temp sender has me curious of what application used a spade type connector like the 67 oil pressure sender . All of the water temp senders I am familiar with on 67 SB and BB were the threaded stud style.
