Title: 67 body tag
Post by: preaction on December 15, 2015, 07:56:59 PM
I came across this metal tag on my 67 it feels like shim stock in thickness and was sandwiched between the fire wall and the cowl pinch weld. It came from where the yellow cap is located, I cant remember seeing one of these.

Guessing this is from a Dearborn car.

Looks like the same small sheet metal extensions or tabs we sometimes see on the 65-66 cars built there.

If so its likely IMHO that what you found is where an inspector punched their identification number/code into the tab to indicate that some process or process's had been successfully completed
