MY front parking / turn signals have a clear lens and a clear bulb.
Should they have an amber bulb?
On a related question, one parking lamp reflects high on the wall while the other is about level. I tried playing around with them and cant find a way to change this. After looking closer it seems that it has to do with the way the bulb is oriented in the housing, the one that reflects high the filiment is oriented at the top. I cant change this because it's the way the sockets are. Thoughts?

You can bend or remove the sockets and replace or fix
First I would try and remove the bulb and insert a socket and long extension (disconnect the battery first) them carefully pry in the direction you want to align it to without bending the valance.
You can remove and replace the socket (or just remove it to reshape it) there is an article in the library related to this subject

It should have a amber bulb 1157A It sounds like something is not right with that one. I would start with correct bulbs and see if that may help.

I didn't see a turn signal article but did see the reverse lamp one.

When I bought my 67 Shelby in CA, 1977 the parking/turn signal lamps were amber.
Swedish law forbids amber as the parking lamp so I took out the bulbs and scraped off
the amber with my finger nail and as far as I remember they are still the same soon 39 years later.
