H all,
Sorry for the presumably stupid question but, I ordered from CJ Pony Parts a correct gas cap for my 1966 I6 Coupe and looks a bit bigger than the one it has before, a 65 gas cap model. Maybe just seems so to me.!
Maybe it's the model's effect..
Sure it's the correct one, but wanted to verify.

65 and 66 caps are different. 65 has plastic center, 66 is all metal.

There was not different sizes of gas caps during 65 or 66.
If you're looking at repro parts and comparing, can't help you there.

That's fine Charles, thanks! Size it's the same, just model is confusing my eyes.! I have measured them and they are both the same. 65 model looks smaller because of its design, but just that.

How the cap attaches to the filler neck is the same, but it would not surprise me if the actual cap dimensions are different from 65 and 66. I would say 66 might be slightly larger, just based on visual appearance.
