Hi
So I still need help with a pic of the little clip that the kickdown Spring hooks onto?
I know the way the spring hooks up to the cable side but I'm missing the little clip that mounts on the trans.
The trans is a c6 auto from a 67 mustang fastback with a 390gt.
Cheers.

I found a pic.
I'm after the clip that the spring hooks onto.
-
What year and what motor was this pic from ?
-
Not sure exactly but I did Google a c6
-
Ok.
I found a photo of my clip before I began dismantling the car.
I've lost the clip and need another.

I just got the last and only one WCCC had, its interesting that in the assembly manual it shows a clip that has a retaining screw and this one which seems to be the production choice just pushes into place and is held with friction.

That clip, C7ZZ-7C176-A, is used, per Ford Car Parts, on all V8 Mustangs with C4 or C6 transmissions for 1967 and 1968. It may also be used on later Mustangs, the data get "vague".

Jim, what exactly is a "Ford Car Parts" manual ? Something other than a MPC ?
-
That is it's title. I prefer that over MPC which requires more explanations. ;)

I see, IIRC you mentioned a "clip" or retainer book too.
