Title: 67 289 fan spacer?
Post by: Brian in PA on March 20, 2016, 12:14:33 AM
Ok fellas, I having some issues with my build. I'm building my 67 GT 350 tribute car and I have factory air.  Now I have the right 7 blade fan and the fan clutch. Should there be a spacer?  If so which one?  Thanks.

Don't recall ever seeing a clutch style fan paired with any spacer. Length is suppose to all be built in the clutch length

If you look at a fan clutch you will see that the spacer is incorporated into the design. The GT350 with air uses the same as the GT500 .In this case C7ZX-A . Chris Brown repos a exact clutch or for a more economical alternative get a used factory 390 fan clutch.

If for some reason you don't wan't to run a clutch, Branda offers a hub/spacer.  Not what I would do, but a viable option. Also, the offering from the parts store catalog is too long. You'll have to use the one for the Corvette. I think it was a 2711.  Pampered Corvettes, who is restoring my Ford unit has about a 12 month backlog.
