Title: 67 rear axle rubber bumper/snubber
Post by: 67gta289 on March 28, 2016, 08:43:40 PM
Rear axle snubber that mounts to the body - at least the 8" axle type, not sure if others are the same.  Part number C4DA-4002A.  I have two and noticed what appears to be a date code.  Never noticed that on rubber parts.  I suppose I need to look at the front ones also - those would be much easier to see without the car being lifted.

Not sure what you discovered but from my 68 car I have a bumper snubber with FK37

Would be the same on all others except for K code and 390's. Those had the snubber bumpers attached to the bracket attached to the third member of the rear end

Guess another detail to look. Might be a batch identifier. Only collecting more examples from a wider period of cars built at different times will tell us for sure. Thanks for sharing
