Title: 68 Tilt column hose retainer
Post by: ruppstang on April 06, 2016, 09:25:42 AM
I am looking for a picture or a description of a 3A762  68 tilt vacuum hose retainer that holds the hose to the RH shock tower brace.

Marti - looked but didn't find any pictures. Could it be the same as used on the Shelbys or Cougars that year?   Just looking for another possible place to look for you

Ed I could not find it on the SAC site.

I talked with John Murphy yesterday, he own a very original 68 GT-CS that has both AC and tilt. He said that his car does not have the 3A762 retainers. It got me thinking may be if a car had tilt and AC the retainers may have not been used because the AC hose straps also held the tilt vacuum lines in place to the shock tower brace.

I was talking about the holder on rh front top shocktower area for 68 NJ cars anyway  either pete or tim had the pic posted on the saac site awhile back  & its an odd holder  but may have been used on other types of cars somewhere else  a junkyard part
