Title: 67 Rear axle brake line clamp at vent
Post by: 7R02A on March 28, 2016, 10:23:49 PM
Speaking of axle vent tubes, just had conversation with someone who has a 67 Dearborn fastback built in March of 67.  It has a clamp on it that I have not seen before.  See attached picture, but it holds the metal brake line.  Goes above the brake line bracket on the axle vent tube.  Does anyone know when and where these clamps were used?
Thanks,
John

Thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks

Thanks everyone for your comments.  So nobody has ever seen a patten as to when these were applied? The car the picture was taken of was a March 67 built Dearborn car.  My car is a December 66 built San Jose car.  Both are 67 year models with 8" rear ends.  I was under the impression that their was only one supplier of rear ends to all 3 plants.  Thus seems like this might be a timing thing and not a different supplier issue.  Sounds like from Bob's feedback that this may also be across both 8" and 9" rear ends.  Assuming that both 8" and 9" rear ends were built at the same plant.  Just looking to try to clarify yet another possible running 67 change.  Thanks to all.

Has this thread split into  two topics? I am confused ??? a little and after re-reading everything it is easy to see why.

John (user ID 7R02A) is asking about  NOT A CLAMP (per say) but instead I think he's asking about the bracket that wraps around the brake hose (see the picture he supplied) while I think most everyone else is speaking to what John (67gta289) has posted, which is the HOSE CLAMP with the keystone logo on it.

Did I sort this correctly so maybe this can be split to easier decipher the comments and who is responding to what?

Don't know and have not looked at my records - honestly lost me in the thread a while back as to exactly what detail was being asked about and the details of when and where

Sorry for confusion.  Jeff please feel free to split into a separate thread if needed.  I was just wondering if anyone knew when these clips were used?  Not all rear ends have them.
Thanks
John
