hi !
need help to know the original color for this parts ! thanks
1.strut rod
2.hubs
3.spindle
4.quarter vent grill
5.rear drums
6.rear brake drum plate
7.rear shock plate
8.caliper bracket
9.splash shield
-
1.strut rod - Heat treated steel. Similar in look to center link and tie rod (cast sections not machined or threaded areas)
2.hubs - Cast iron with machined areas
3.spindle - Heat treated steel with bright freshly machined area and hardness test (grinder) spot. IMHO Often a darker shade of finished metal (unmachined areas) than other steering parts
4.quarter vent grill - SGB (semi-gloss black)
5.rear drums - Cast iron with bright machined areas.
6.rear brake drum plate - SGB on the glossy side
7.rear shock plate - Bare natural plate steel. Originals will show bright edges where bends were formed
8.caliper bracket - Cast iron with bright machined areas.
9.splash shield - SGB
Pictures of each/most are shown in other threads as well as articles and threads showing or offering tips as to how to reproduce the original look
