Title: 6 Cylinder Spring Paint Markings
Post by: Building 3 on May 24, 2016, 02:04:15 PM
In looking around for parts I came across these 1966 6 cylinder front and rear springs which still had their paint markings on them. These photos might be helpful to someone with a Mustang 6.

To help others - is there any additional info you can provide so that others can figure out if the marks apply to their car?

Things like transmission?  AC? or PS? When the car was built?

Possibly include the engineering number (C4ZA-5556-?) from the rear leaf springs since, for them, that is the easiest was to match them.  My guess would be -M based on the picture but of course colors may not be true

Thanks for posting

My 66 NJ Sprint with auto trans had very similar white stripes on the leaf springs. Part numbers: C4ZA-5556-M  Dates codes:G1-6B.
I haven't checked the coils yet.

I was told, but cannot verify that these were from a December 1965 Dearborn coupe that had been parted out. These were some of the remaining parts.  I lost interest when I found out it was a 6 cylinder. I don't know if it was auto or manual.
