January 1965 Ford Master Parts Catalog Switch Assy. Ignition C3AZ 11572-A Use With C3AZ 11582-A

Sorry page 366 group # 11572 Ign. Switch

Thanks Richard. Got some help from Jim and then got the MPC page. The C3AZ-11572-A SW 353 switch is listed for the 65. I am still unclear as to the Letter designations A,B,S,X. F is for Mustang. Is the C5AZ-11572-B SW 417 for use in the 65 Mustang also ? Thanks Brian

A = Galaxie Series, B =Fairlane Series, S =Station Wagon , X = Falcon and F= Mustang
-
Thanks again Richard. I am being told the C5AZ-11572-B SW 417 is for use in the 65 Mustang. I don't read the chart that way but as you can see I'am having some difficulty deciphering this thing anyway ? Brian

It's for a 67 Mustang.

Yeah, Don't forget, The Double-Sided Keys/locks were first used in the Lincolns in 1965?....a few years before they were used on Mustangs in 1967..

That's a good point. This 1965 Mustang ad referring to reversible keys confused me, until I realized it was referring to reversible keys in other Ford products.

Could just be the difference between what they planned on doing (ads and such can be designed months before a car is released) and what they really did. Pictures in ads are really bad IMHO about that.
