Hi all
new here and new 70 Mach 1 owner. The depth of knowledge here is amazing and I have Googled repeatedly to find an answer with no luck.
So Marti report lists the following features:
Black Hood Stripe
Dual Paint Stripe
FMX
E70X14
Goodyear branded tyres
PS
AM
Argent Styled wheels
VIN is 0T05M144xxx Dec 18 69 Build. 351 4V, FMX, 3.25 gears. Richmond DSO.
Under bonnet is original & unrestored with just a late model Holley on it.
Originally white with medium ginger (now red with black but still has the old AM radio) the deluxe Marti report says it is "one of" based on following stats:
(skip all of the normal stats for Mach 1 351 and auto)
677 painted white
66 medium ginger Mach 1 bucket seats
16 argent styled wheels
1 of Dual Paint Stripes.
So what has me perplexed is - what is different about Dual Paint Stripes. If it was normal stripes - it would not be listed as a one of in the report.
Sadly car has no providence on its past, it is a very solid car with only sign of repair being floors and maybe hood. Engine still has evidence of the yellow OK on the PS rocker cover so assuming original unrestored.
Help - pictures, something to help make sense would be appreciated.
Plans on car are engine bay and underbody resto to original detail. Undecided on body.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your new Mustang purchase.
I would expect the dual pin stripes to be black like the hood stripe.
Here is a Grande example, but you get the idea.

Don't do this!
Who ever wants an Olds 442, just go buy one instead.
-
The Grande is correct. Here is a shot, though not a good picture of it on a 70 mach.

Many thanks. I just could not get any idea of what it might look like.
Its not exactly distinctive and can see why not too many would be ordering it - its a bit of a nothing option. Probably $5 on the option list :)

Had it on our 70 convertible we had years ago. Liked it on a non-Mach car - just a little flash to brake things up
