Looking for how the 2 dials/knobs remove from the round deluxe clock for lens replacement or polishing. I know I had them off 20+ yrs ago when I fixed the points in it, but can't remember how I did it. I don't want to break anything on a good functioning clock.

A bit late, but I have a partial answer and am looking for the rest of the story. I was able to get the time adjustment knob off by (1) pulling the knob out, (2) grabbing the stem with the first set of pliers, and (3) grabbing the knob with a second set of pliers, then (4) unscrewing the knob. It took a serious amount of torque and fought me through about 3/4 of the way.
What I don't see, however, is to remove the knob that is through the center of the lens, the one with the green pointer. Can anyone help with that? Thanks

A little spring steel PAL nut holds the center in place. You can push the shaft out of the PAL nut with an appropriate sized pin punch. It doesn’t take much.

I didn't see any way to punch out of this situation. I very carefully twisted (as in threading and unthreading motion) and pulled, and eventually it came undone.
Picture 1 is the order of parts from left to right:
1. Rally pointer
2. Flat washer
3. Lens
4. Flat washer
5. Push nut? Not sure of the correct term. Look at details in picture #2
6. Knob
