Same carb as used in all the other states ;)   Just depends on if the car was an automatic or manual trans

Have been advised elsewhare "The correct carb for your Cal Special would be a C8ZF-G 1.08;"

Is there a refernce that list all these varaints?   I have one that lists the -G and the -L, but no clarification of what the differnce in the application of the two is, as the car has no Thermactor stuff the -AK seems out of the running.......

Anyone know the difference in the -L and -G??? and which would apply to this car?  Cal Special if it makes any difference, which I doubt...

My bad...C8AF-L with IMCO, automatic
C8AF-L with IMCO and automatic
C8AF-AK with T/E and manual

From Mannel's book Mustang and Ford Small Block V8.

No ref to the -G?  Told -L was for other lines of 289 cars and the -G was for Mustangs... and also told -L and -G are pretty mcuh the same expect for the tag (odd).  Have a line on a -G with a perfect date code...

Seems that are all pretty much the same thing as the service replacemnet across the board for many 2100's is the same...

Thanks Tim, I have a guy who will sell me a rebuilt, run-on-engine tested, -G for $200, looked like a good price.  Just trying to sort out the difference... thanks for the offer!  If it doesn't show up with the tag I'll let you know! Appreciate the offer....

There is a C8ZF-G listed.  This is for Mustang automatics with IMCO.  Sounds like you are good to go with a -G.
