Title: 1966 original radio removal with a/c in place
Post by: socalgt on May 28, 2018, 12:19:18 PM
Is it possible to remove the stock am radio without removing the under dash a/c unit.  I installed the radio before the a/c unit, but it now does not work, but I'm afraid I'll at least have to reposition the a/c unit.....am I correct?

I think you can get the radio out thru and after removing the glove box. There's a similar "situation" with consoles being in the way.

I have removed the radio through the speaker hole above the radio. A bit of careful maneuvering , but it does come out quite nicely.
