Title: 1966 289 factory a/c hoses/lines

Does the "liquid line" attach directly to its' respective hose coming through the firewall or was there a site gauge or similar between them?

Not sure if I fully understand your question (lots of things going on :) 

Does this answer your question or do you need one from another angle or part of the engine compartment?
