I am see the vendors showing 2 different harnesses for this application. One has a plastic bracket that bolts to the 3 alternator posts, and the other style does not have that bracket, but instead has the 3 connector with individual rubber boots.
Why the difference ?

The "dog bone" rubber bracket type is for 68 model year. The rubber boots are for 67 390 model year. There is some speculation that the rubber dogbone type transitioned in very late 67 production but I have not seen that evidence.

Thanks Bob. Some vendors are listing the rubber boots for both 67 and 68.
My car was built in Dearborn in Dec 1967. Would your original statement still hold true for my car?

I will amend my post to state model year. I did not mean calendar year . You should have the Rubber dog bone type I believe.
