Title: 70 Mach1 Console Hinge Decal?

On a 70 Mach1 console lid hinge was there a decal of some type?
My hinge looks like it had something stuck on it at some stage.

Not that I recall ever seeing

A real long stretch would be that it got replaced early in life and there was a part number sticker on it for a long  long time till it fell off or was removed.

Just a guess
