What type of fender emblem should I put? Just a running horse, a running horse with 289 engine designation, a handwritten "mustang" wording?
The car is a C-code build in Dearborn, Dec 5th, 1967. 8F01Cxxxxxx vin number.

It should have the running pony with the engine designation AND the "Mustang" emblem.

I will add that other engine options (such as a straight 6 or a GT) wave different fender-mounted emblems.
Using your signature, I would say you should be looking for a running horse with "289" designation.
Replacement & most NOS emblems could differ a bit from the assemblyline emblems. I know this is true for other years (like 66) but I seem to recall another thread about the 67 or 68 version of the running horse having subtle differences too but I have not personally researched it. If anyone else knows, here is a good opportunity to chime in.
Upon the EDIT: (the SEARCH FEATURE is your friend ;). )

Another place you could have found some help and picture(s) would be in the unrestored picture threads. There is at least one thread with a C code and a picture of the fender though not a great one you can make out the emblem and the Mustangs scripts
