Though this might be a good thread to start considering we have a 66 San Jose Running Changes Thread for Mustangs where we've been trying to track San Jose changes that affected how the Shelby's would have also been assembled. As long as we're going through a specific year and plant I though a partner thread would be helpful to try and narrow down the 66 Shelby running changes at the same time. The Registry lists many of these but not all of them. Don't expect to find a great difference between the Registry findings and the findings in this thread but we'll see. Hopefully they will support one another.
Hope all of this this helps owners and builders with some additional information when it comes time to restore one of these cars. In most cases if your car is a nice unrestored examples (less and less of these are out there) we're interested in your findings and these findings on their own should not be used alone to make a change to your car only start the discussion. We hope this thread helps those who's cars may have been altered or restored in the past make some educated choices as they go forward.
Posted the other day a graphic I was thinking about incorporating in surveys and results of running changes on the site to graphically represent know or confirmed ranges of the two or more versions as well as the "gray area" at the time of the study. It was suggested that we give it a try with a pilot. To that end figured we would start with an easy even year thread since the second year of a body style normally has less of these changes. So post what you understand was affected by running changes and I'll keep an ongoing list here in the first post. From there we'll collect data, assemble the first report and see how it works.
To keep the thread from getting too long or out of hand please don't post that you found this version or that on car 6F07C234512. We can save that for the research period. Just trying to identify the features during this first effort. Will break out the findings by plant of course. Will be adding additional items as time goes along. Don't post your submissions to this thread but instead to the individual threads that discuss that particular detail. Those will be linked to the study items below as we have done in the 66 San Jose Mustang Running Change thread

We can do a survey unfortunately so many cars have changed their hoods for other ones including reproductions. Would require date codes from each example but we can look into it and see if a pattern shows up

Header bolts.
I know it has been discussed in older threads, but just thought it could go well here too.

The seat belt once may be a pretty big challenge but we'll see once we get a focus on it
