Title: Cruise control stalk repair
Post by: bigdog01 on October 11, 2018, 10:36:31 AM
Does anyone know if there is someone out there that repairs the speed control stalks?  I have one that is in bad shape.  I did find a replacement, but seems like a shame to toss the part out if it is repairable.

I would try to have it 3D printed then chrome plated.

This one looks like the early Curtiss-Wright stalk. If you can take it apart you could find a plastic rechromer and have it done. I tried once to take apart a Perfect Circle stalk and it ended up breaking.

The threaded end of the stalk is metal and the button end is plastic . So you would have to separate to get a good 3D scan I think.
