Someone posted a link to this on my Facebook page. It was on eBay recently, reserve not met. It's the definition of over restored, but you have to admire the workmanship.

Someone put allot of effort into the car it appears, too bad they missed a number of easy things that were inexpensive to do when they were building the car. Oh well nothing that could not be corrected - just a little more work and hassle. Pretty color combination
Guess they didn't include a VIN or when it was built at Dearborn (?)
Guess the batch color they found on the undercarriage was the dark blue gray since it blends so well with the exterior color.

I think the door tag was shown on the eBay auction along with the Marti Report. I agree it would have been better if the underside had been detailed properly. Cougars typically have lots of undercoating and this one has none.

That's a nice restoration, I agree that's a trailer queen too, never driven and/or started. Hope my restoration on my 70 Conv
