Title: 1964.5 Convertible Windshield Top Frame Holes?
Post by: RAH2 1964.5 on October 22, 2018, 01:18:22 PM
This is a May 8, 1964 Convertible. Putting in a new windshield. Are the front holes on top window frame shown in the pic correct? The window guy, who is experienced with Mustangs, says he has never seen front holes as shown before.

You have a very early built car... I'm guessing that they are Early '64.5 "Alignment Holes".... Can't imagine what else that they would be used for other than holding "Sealer" that would have been applied...

Your Glass guy is right though....You won't see them on Regular Production '65 or '66 cars...

I have pics of a late May (25E sch date) 64.5 convertible with the same holes.

I know this is an old thread, but I also have these holes in a June 9 planned build date car, which was actually built in the last week of June 64.
