Title: GT stripe color meaning

Hi guys does someone know if there is a meaning or reason why in 65/66 the GT stripe on a A or K code car was either red , white or a black stripe did that have something to do with the color of the car or its interior to determine what color the stripe was on the car .

Also don't forget blue was a colour for the stripe kit as well.

I found this page in "How to Restore Your Mustang" , from 1987.    It shows the possible combinations which was probably decided by
Ford designers at the time

There were suggested color combinations but if the buyer was ordering the car he could get any of the four stripes colors that were being made put on any exterior color they chose. Of course the vast majority of cars were ordered or built like the guides suggested
