Title: 1968 shock tower grease hole? To be or not to be?

Does Concourse Mustang shock tower have a grease hole on the driver side?  I have two cars one is early 68 (sept. 1967) car which to me appears to be crudely drilled out along with a small hole next to it indicating that someone tried to A-line to grease fitting but failed then found it.  I also have a May of 1968 mustang in which the hold seem to be factory.  Both have straight grease fittings.  Passenger side has 90 degree grease fitting with no hole in shock tower on both.   Is it possible Ford added this service hole later in 1968?    I have seen a lot of poorly torched holes on many other mustangs making it difficult to really know.

Originally there were no grease fittings in the upper a arms just plugs were they could be added or were (then removed) when they were assembled. Lots and lots of owners and service stations thought a better idea was to drill, cut or torch a opening in the shock tower. Not original for a classic Mustangs
