Title: Firewall to Top Inner Fender Sealing- 70 Dearborn
Post by: 1970 Snake on November 24, 2018, 12:06:25 PM
I am having trouble finding what sealing material was used and how applied for closing off the large gaps at the top of the connection between inner fenders and the firewall, would appreciate some detailed help with the assembly line application and material used.

Those large gaps between the filler (inner fender panel and the cowl) and the cowl were left unfilled originally on early Dearborn examples I found

Three examples posted below

On the examaple below the worker applying the spray on seam sealer over the cowl to firewall pinch weld went a little future than other times and continued onto and to the upper surface of the filler panel on the drivers side
