Title: 70 Engine Compartment Main Wiring Harness
Post by: 1970 Snake on December 07, 2018, 01:12:08 PM
I am in the process of restoring my main wiring harness in the engine compartment and have a broken mounting clip. There are two types of mounting clips taped into the harness and it looks like the one (pic 7121) is a specialty clip that is stapled to a plastic strip which is taped into the harness. Are these specialty clips reproduced or do I need to find another harness and rob the clip and/or entire strip and clips??

I have looked at the AMK catalog and could NOT find these, but they did have something close to the other plastic one with the barbs.

Okay great will get the AMK ones and remove the foam washer. I am assuming the stapling to the plastic strip was to get the retainer clip spacing right during wire harness fabrication at the vendors.
