Title: 1967 - 1968 390 / 428 starter cable routing
Post by: RoyceP on December 30, 2018, 07:40:26 PM
I think there should be two clamps on the big block starter cable running from the solenoid to the starter right? That's what came off my car when I took it apart. I didn't take pictures, but the original cable was running through two clamps, attached to the front and rear motor mount isolator studs. Everything appeared to be original, including the C8 insulator, which I am reusing. Which way do the clamps orient? Are the clamps natural steel or cad plate?

Thanks Ed! Someone hosed everything down with rattle can black under the car at some point and it's hard to tell sometimes what the original finishes might have been.
