Title: 69 Hood Seam Sealer?
Post by: BuckeyeDemon on October 30, 2010, 08:40:57 AM
should a hood for a 69 have seam sealer where the skin meets the frame around the three edges?

i stripped the hood back in 1994, and i can't remember if the original had the sealer or not.

thanks in advance.

+1   You can find "sealer" used as an insulator between the inner and outer panel out towards the center (cutouts) Applied in daubs to keep one from rattling against the other

This is common on all Mustang hoods
