I would like to know WHY the RH fender extension plate has the outer edge notched out and the LH plate does not.
The attached picture is of my factory originals, and have searched the net and seen that all the OEM RH plates have been manually notch out for some reason.
Even the repros have the oversize notches on both RH and LH plates. Which the larger notches they do not cover the fender extension openings properly.
Any help understanding why the RH OEM ones are notched would be great.
