I believe # 012120 is the consecutive serial number of the trans when it was produced .It is not a date code.

Agree with Bob that what you provided is the consecutive number assigned to the transmission you have

Date code on the main case is typically on the top edge just below the steel.sheet metal cover.

I am aware of that,i was refering to the number cast in housing i would of posted that number but the trans is in my other shop,i believe it is H 2 09 or 9 0 2 H. Memory not as good as past.Thanks, Greg

In the article K17 and L13 are Month-Year. I guess K is October and L is November but I don't see how to get the year from 17 and 13.

Thanks I'll get the wording corrected. As I understand it currently Month and day of month. Not sure why they choose that pattern rather than one of the more typical casting patterns
