I've recently acquired a new project, 1973 Grande Q code.
Getting the Marti Report back it says it came with a ginger Kiwi vinyl roof.
I have found nothing from ford literature about KIWI?? Only ginger.
The 73 mach 1 in the new museum is a 1 owner unrestored with all of original documents
Saying his top is Ginger vinyl but his Marti Report mentioned ginger kiwi
I was able to talked to the owner he could not tell me why marti report mentioned Kiwi?
Anyone have any thoughts on this?
Then where would be a good source to get the correct vinyl?
Thanks
Tom

This sounds a lot like the 8,200 mile unrestored '73 Mach that I saw in Akron in 2017.
I took loads of pictures of the car. I will try and link you to the window sticker of this 5/73 dated example.

Try SMS out of Oregon.

Here is an example of a 70 with the same top material as 67gtasanjoseposted

Kiwi was also used to describe an interior upholstery material also in 70 and 69 references while the same codes just describe it as vinyl
Ford used allot of different terms especially when it came to soft trim such as tops and upholstery
May have been influenced by the advertising branch of the corporation as much as any other, looking for new, flashy, interesting terms that would catch the customers eye and influence sales
Some of the other terms that stand out to me are
Clarion
Corinthian
Haircell vinyl
Rino
Ruffino
Kiwi

Seeing your car reminded me of my second Mustang I owned back in the seventies.
