Title: HiPo Axle Diameter

Hello all!

Were the axle shafts on a 65/66 K Code HiPo 9" rear ends a different diameter than the standard 8" axle shafts?

I know the lengths of the HiPo 9" axle shafts were the same as the standard 8" axle shafts, and both were obviously 28 spline. I measured the diameter of my genuine 65 HiPo axles shafts, they came out to be 1.223 ish inches. Is this the general diameter of all 9" axle shafts?

I do not have direct access to the standard 8" axle shafts at this time to measure and compare.

The axles in a K code 9" are the same as the axles in a 8"
