Each painter has his own MFG product system that he uses .It is best to work with a product line you are familiar with.  With that said you have to mix up a special color to match the backside of the 69 fenders and other fiberglass. There is no on the shelf mixed paint I am aware of . That is unless you will be satisfied with something near the shade in which case you can try to match from color books.  With small batches of special paint mixtures tinted for a specific item most do not keep a formula . When you have to keep adding small amounts of tint to get it right it becomes difficult to keep track. Also there were slight variations in color of the backside of the fiberglass. A tint that my match one piece of a set may not match another.  It is best to try and copy your own pieces unless they are not from the car your working on in which case you have more latitude.

Thank you Bob. That makes sense. It’s like slop grey. We can color match from my fenders and headlight buckets. Best Regards, Chuck Hurliman 1969 GT-500 #0718

Backside of fenders & headlight buckets never had a special paint just factory overspray from primer & body color around the edges & grey grill area overspray around headlight buckets.

For those reading . No the backside of the fenders and fiberglass were not painted from the factory. However for those that have had to make repairs on the fiberglass or where stubborn (just like certain people I know  ;))  stains in the fiberglass can not be removed painting a faux finish that looks like the factory gel coat is the typical solution . Overspray as has been previously mentioned would complete the original effect.
