I have a 1966 coupe 200CI that runs great...however, after she runs a while and the engine is nice and hot and I shut her off, she'll start right back up, but then stall. If I restart her and rev the engine for a moment or two she'll take right off. Is this something (an adjustment) with the carb? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. :'(

first welcome to the forum. now a question....is it a stock carb for the year and model?

Yes, stock Autolite 1100 carb. this is only after a long drive if I shut her off for a minute or two. She will start right back up, but if I immediately put her in drive, she'll stall. I will then start her right back up, tap the accelerator two or three times, and she'll go without any problem. She does not diesel when I shut her off, and runs like a champ. Thak's for any help you may offer.

I suggest checking the power valve for sticking:
