Title: Help finding a dealer in quality used parts
Post by: boss167961 on July 27, 2019, 08:24:00 AM
Gday guys
I’d specifically like to find a dealer who is likely to have or help me find an OE rear package tray for a fastback. I’m in Australia, so they will need to be able to work with me on OS shipping

Martin are you looking for the fold down assy/panels or something else?

I looked for an original for a while.  Everything I saw was really rough since the part doesn't survive very well.  Opted for this which looks really close to the originals I've seen.  Available on eBay.

You don't see many non-fold rear seats in 67/68.
I'd be interested in a thread on the details!

My non-fold down was put together completely wrong with a bunch of random hardware.  I found these two threads to be invaluable as I worked through it:

They have a bunch of used parts. It has been probably 15+ years since I bought anything from him, but was great to deal with when I did.

Not exact but you would be very lucky to find an original that is in acceptably good condition,

West Coast Classic Cougars also has used Mustang parts.
Maybe not that part, but they have lots of used parts.

We have many of the shared used mechanical parts between Mustang and Cougar.

They are great to do business with. Highly recommended.

Yes, I've purchased many parts from WCCC -- the last one being the long style underdash light bracket -- and all of the parts have been sent promptly and packed well.
I do my shopping there via their website, which is also well organized and easy to use.
