Title: 1970 Mach 1 rolled lip fenders?
Post by: HDAshmore on August 01, 2019, 01:11:55 PM
Gents,

Need a simplified explanation.

Situation:
My January 1970 Dearborn 351 C Mach 1 has 1 rolled lip DOZZ XXXX6-B red oxide fender on the drivers side. I know it is replacement because there is a Ford Service part sticker still on it that reads dated 1973.  My car came with F70x14s according to Marti report.  Other fender is gone so cannot compare.  I tried to definitively answer my question by research on forum but I am not sure after reading long threads.

Question:
Did Ford put rolled lip fenders on 1970 Mach 1s with F70x14s?  Yes or No

Reason:
I do not want to get rid of fender if it is supposed to be rolled on my car.  If not then I need to source an unmolested non rolled fender

Thanks,
Dan

Just FYI, My 9/30/69 Metuchen R code Mach1 still has it's born with front sheet metal and the factory fenders are not rolled.  I'm almost certain the rolled lip fenders are a Boss only thing

That's always been my belief too that it's a Boss/15" wheel thing.

No they were not rolled that is already addressed in the design of the fender for the non-Boss cars.
