Discovered a leak in the power steering pump coming from the front shaft. Once the pulley is off can the seal be replaced without having to disassemble the pump? Anybody been down this road?
Thanks, Pete.

The simple answer is no.

Actually yes. Once I got the pulley off, the seal came out with a puller simply made from 2 drywall screws. Worked pretty good.

Here's a link to the best kit I've seen. Includes bushing, cam pack springs and all seals.

Ordered the seal through my local parts store. Supposed to be in today. Will let you know brand and part number when I get it.

Just got the seal. It's from National Oil Seals, part number 8773S.

I've bought from them before and had a good experience. Even got a wrong part (heater box foam) and they shipped me a new one without asking for the old, wrong one back or any additional funds.
Given that springs have a finite life I like the fact that they've included those.
Good tip!
