Title: 67 FE Fuel Pump
Post by: orgnl70 on September 24, 2019, 07:47:35 PM
67, 390, FE. GT Heads. What  is the correct fuel pump for this motor. Is it a standard pump or the one with a fuel filter on the bottom of the pump itself.
Any photos would be of great help.
Thanks

Canister filter on the bottom. The canister isn't correct on this one.

The 67 390 Mustang typically would not have the filter made into the pump (filter on bottom). That is because the fuel filter screws into the carb. If it didn't have a filter at the carb then it would use the pump with the filter. 67 GT500 uses the fuel pump with the filter made into the pump because in the case of the GT500 it does not have any filters at the carbs.

The 67 pump also uses a 5/16" fuel line.

My apologies. I have a 1967 500. I had forgotten about the filter screwed into the carb inlet. I have no filter on the pump so I am running the FE canister.
