I just removed my leaf springs, shocks, and axle housing from my Metuchen '69 R-Code Mach 1, and was wondering if the date codes are consistent with the March 4, 1969 build date of my car, and could be original to the car. I believe they are original, but I was told driveline components (incl differential) in '69 were very close to the build date. The date codes as follows (see pics):
Leaf Springs => C9ZA 5556G => 8B8
Shocks => C9 F 18180 => 9A8
Differential Housing => 9AD
Differential Tag => 9A7
Also, the differential tag indicates a traction lok, but the Marti Report does not show that as an option.
Thanks in advance.

From other examples I've got data from I would suggest yes they do fall within the range of what would be expected. Shocks even are the MADE IN CANADA as expected and typically found on NJ cars. Thanks for posting and I've added yours to all the others to help create a "picture" of production
