Hallo,
i´m pretty sure the Car Jack of my 67 Fastback is original to the car. Date code is "B7".
The Car was built March 2, 1967.
Should i restore (blast and repaint) it, or leave it like it is?
Since i will never use it...
I don´t want to lose the Label.
Thanks for your recommandation!

IMHO it depends on your plans for the jack, if you'll be using it in a car and what to what level the car (if use) will be finished to.
If you want to use it in a restored car then it needs to match the level of completion and condition of the rest of the car
If installing it in an unrestored car don't touch it
If put in a driver and you think it will ever be used you might want to put a different one in the trunk for that purpose.
If you have a restored car another option would be to put this one on a shelf and restore another for use in the car and for shows. Remember that in many settings that neat old sticker and aged condition will cost points. If you don't mind taking a very small "tap on the hand" then that is your choice. Restoring cars is all about choices
There are situations where a part can be "too good" to use ;)
Good luck with what ever path you choose

There is one of the latter style 67 handles.

There is one of the latter style 67 handles.
Guess we should ask ;)
Blue_67_Fastback - Where was the car built?
-
The Car was built at Dearborn on March 2nd, 1967.
There is NO date code visible on the handle...
Jack is B7.

This handle looks a lot like a 67 only Cougar handle.

I've restored allot of parts that made me cringe by pulling labels off. personally I would try to save that label and put it in my scrap book and restore that thing. The feeling of having a freshly restored piece or original equipment feels good in the end.

My 69 Mach 1 is missing the Jack. Does anyone know where I can find one? It does not have to have the 69 Date code however I would like to find one the same style. I believe they were all the same from 65-69.

not all the same. have you reviewed the article in the library section here??

Just try and keep things organized and in their place. Very off topic :) didn't notice that you were so close by til I noticed your signature
Are the labels paper?
Should be if they are original. Even some reproduction have been printed on paper at one point
