I recently purchased a tach dash for my car I took it apart to clean it up as it was very dirty . also someone dropped it on one corner and cracked the left front corner , ive since repaired this. Behind the gauges theres small black rubber pieces prob to fill in the gaps or cushion the gauges? They are dry rotted of course I was thinking I could use vacunm hose cut to same size to replicate this. any ideas? mark

Not sure on your question, but do you know the underdash, alternator and headlight wiring differ?

Meaning? I don't have the tach wiring , but it can be made to work with out the wiring for a tach car.
Im talking about the back side of the gauge assembly.
I can post pics. No biggy I will figure it out.

Yup rubber vacuum hose chopped up into little spacers is the ticket.
It's thicker walled than other hose types.
If it's sized is in 32nds, you know it's vacuum hose you're buying.
