Title: 67 San Jose 390 Firewall Clutch Linkage Boot Question
Post by: CandyAppleRed on February 18, 2020, 05:56:41 AM
Mod Note:  These two first posts were separated from another topic so that focus could be maintained and the new subject be given proper attention

Regarding picture INT 10 (underdash area - pedal support), the clutch rod boot is mounted such that the boot is inside the car. Based on the assymbly manual, it should should be on the engine compartment side of the firewall.

Any idea what is the correct way of installing the boot on a SJ car?

I just realized that in this an automatic car and the boot, I'm referring to belongs to the brake booster...

Anyway, what yould be the correct orientation of the clutch pedal boot on a manual transmission car?
