Title: Pins for 65-66 Distributor Hold Down Clips
Post by: rockhouse66 on June 01, 2020, 06:38:09 PM
It looks like 1969 and 1970 distributors had these split pins finished in zinc (silver) or maybe dichromate (gold).  What about the earlier model years?  Specifically, same for 1965/1966 or were these maybe P&O?  If so, when did the finish on these change?

don't know for sure on the change date but 65-66 were an olive drab finish imo. others may differ on opinion.

First the NOS dist I have from 68-69 (assembled and boxed) have gold to greenish gold dye over zinc

As for 65-66 here are a couple of pictures. They seem to suggest a bright finish possibly zinc or even dichromate
