I replaced front brake lines and had booster, MC and distribution block professionally rebuilt for my 1967 GT500. I can lock up rear drums but not front discs. So, I am guessing rear proportioning valve needs rebuild/replace as well. I bought Classic Tube set from NPD for the whole car. My questions:
1- I don't see the 3 way brass connector for sale anywhere that you can see in the first 2 pictures and it seems to be part of the rear flex line. I see rear flex line for sale, but not like this.
2- I see NPD and Branda have the proportioning valve, but I can't find the little 2" or 3" hard line that connects the valve to the flex line bracket. My NPD kit didn't include it. Do I make it?
3- I checked out a friend's 1967 coupe with great working brakes and the proportioning valve is not where it should be. Maybe moved? I would think it is a necessary part.

Your photos show the proportioning valve exactly where it should be on all 1967 Mustang / Cougars with factory front disc brake / rear drum drum brake combination. Like you say it probably needs to be rebuilt. New lines are available from Fine Lines and other typical sources.

Some brake line sets include the small brake line.
The junction is part of the rear brake line hose and is specific to dual exhaust cars if I remember right.
Here are a few pics.

67-70 would be the same except staggered shock vehicles. 428 CJ/ Boss 302/ Boss 429.

I corrected my post above, and the application years are 67-69.

Sorry, I missed it. I thought you were correct too. I went to look it up to verify what I had recalled. I think 65-6 cars even had something different for dual exhaust. How is your Shelby coming along, Bill?

Easy mistake to make but the 428CJ auto which doesn't have staggered shocks used the same rear brake hose bracket as the staggered shock cars.

Good to know Bob. I didn't see any reproductions for staggered shock cars. Not to say there isn't. I didn't see anything in three major supplier's catalogs.

I used WCCC (West Coast Classic Cougar) rebuild kit and watched the video on their site. Worked great! [big thumbs up]

I used the same kit from NPD. The residual valve can very easily damaged if the brake fluid calcifies. It doesn't come with the check ball. If you destroy it during disassemble the unit is trash. The grease gun trick works wonders in a pinch.
